Instrument Mechanic

Instrument Mechanics must have completed an approved apprenticeship course, have had adequate training in instrumentation maintenance and servicing.

Instrument Mechanics must have:

- obtained the Industrial Measurement and Control Technician Certificate Part I (City and Guilds), or equivalent; 

- completed an approved craft apprenticeship course, have obtained an equivalent academic qualification, and have adequate practical training in instrumentation maintenance and servicing; and

- be able to carry out instrumentation maintenance and servicig work efficiently in accordance with drawings and manufacturers' instructions.

Rate of Pay: The appropriate rate of pay for an SJIB Graded Electrician.

All operatives applying to be graded or re-graded must be in possession of an ECS Health and Safety Assessment or approved eqivalent which is not due to expire within six months.
